Terms and Conditions
The short version
These tools are free to use for your own study. The practice material is original and machine-checked, but it has not been reviewed by subject specialists, it is not an official exam resource, and we cannot promise it is free of errors — always check against official papers and ask your teacher if something looks wrong. Don't reuse the content commercially, and don't try to break the site.
1. Who these terms are with
Learn on Stanmorephysics is operated by Quantakom (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us"). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent, guardian or teacher.
2. Using the site
You may use these tools free of charge for your own learning, and teachers may use them with their classes. No account is required, and we charge nothing. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, including for maintenance, and we do not promise that the site will always be available or uninterrupted.
3. About the learning material — please read
This is the most important clause on this page.
- The questions, memos and notes on this site are original material written for practice. They are modelled on the structure and skills of recent National Senior Certificate papers. No official exam text, numbers or diagrams are reproduced.
- Answers and worked solutions are machine-verified — computed and checked programmatically — but they have not been reviewed or moderated by subject specialists. Errors are possible, and some will exist.
- This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Department of Basic Education, any provincial education department, the Independent Examinations Board, or any examining or accrediting body. Nothing here is an official examination resource.
- Nothing here is a substitute for the official curriculum, your textbook, official past papers and marking guidelines, or your teacher. Use this material alongside them, and check anything that looks surprising against an official memo.
4. No warranty about the content
The site and everything on it — questions, memos, notes, worked solutions, mark allocations, cheat sheets, diagrams and study plans — are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied.
In particular, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranty and accept no responsibility that:
- the content is accurate, correct, current, complete or free of errors;
- the content covers the whole curriculum, or matches any particular syllabus, examination body, textbook, marking guideline or grade level;
- a worked answer, mark allocation or explanation is the answer an official marker would accept;
- the content is suitable for any particular purpose, including examination preparation, assessment, teaching or accreditation;
- the site or its tools will be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
You use the content at your own discretion and risk, and you are responsible for checking anything you rely on against an official source. If something on this site contradicts an official past paper, marking guideline, textbook or your teacher, treat the official source as correct and please tell us so we can fix it.
We do not guarantee any examination result, mark or level of improvement. Study outcomes depend on many things outside our control.
5. Your work and your data
Your progress is saved in your own browser, not on our servers. Keeping it is your responsibility: clearing your browser data, switching device or using private browsing will lose it, and we cannot recover it for you. Where a tool offers an export or backup, we recommend using it. How we handle information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any other user's data;
- use the code-running feature to attack, overload or probe any system, or to run anything other than learning exercises;
- scrape, bulk-download or republish the content, or use automated means to place unreasonable load on the site;
- use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that interferes with others using it.
Code you submit is run in an isolated container with no network access. Attempting to escape that isolation, or to use it to reach other systems, is a breach of these terms and may be a criminal offence.
7. Intellectual property
The site, its design, its software and the original practice material are owned by Quantakom (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may use and print the material for your own study or for teaching your own class. You may not republish, sell, license or redistribute it, or present it as your own, without our written permission.
Names of examinations, curricula and organisations are used descriptively to identify the syllabus this material is aligned to. They remain the property of their owners and their use here does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.
8. Third-party content and links
The site links to external resources, including official past-paper sources. We do not control those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, availability or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
9. Limitation of liability
Please read this clause carefully — it limits what we are responsible for.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quantakom (Pty) Ltd, its directors, employees and contributors are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from your use of this site or from your reliance on anything published on it. That includes, without limitation:
- errors, omissions or inaccuracies in any question, memo, worked answer, note, mark allocation or study plan;
- any examination, test or assessment result, or any academic, financial or career consequence of one;
- loss or corruption of progress, answers, study plans or exported files;
- interruption, unavailability or failure of the site or any of its tools;
- anything on a third-party website we link to.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 where it applies. If any part of this clause is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
10. Reporting a problem
If you find a mistake in a question or memo, or a problem with the site, please tell us at admin@quantakom.net. We will correct what we can. Corrections help every learner using the site, and reporting an error is the most useful thing you can do with one.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over any dispute.
